I am currently aiding a water focused utility contractor in their search for a Contracts Manager that will cover multiple water sites within London and Essex reporting into the Head of operations.

They are looking for an experienced manager with experience within the water industry with main contractors and that has ideally came from an engineering background , someone that's hands on . The head of operations is expanding his team due to an influx of work and this role will be one of 4 contracts managers he will eventually take on .

The ideal candidate will be able to:

Read drawings & understand design
Be able to attract repeat business
Drive programmes and productions
Deal with clients on a day to day basis.
Discussing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating the terms of business contracts
Liasing with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams and the client's own representativesThe candidate will be covering 3-6 sites and this will be spread between 4 large water clients but you will manage your own week with the visits. All aspects of the project require someone with water experience so that is essential and due to the way they operate , experience from a main contractor is what they're looking for.

The main office is situated in North London but if that isn't ideal , you are able to work from any of the 4 water clients' offices which are all over the south , working from home is permitted but the candidate must want to be present on site.
