Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a talented teacher of Science and Maths to join a small private girls' school in South Manchester from September 2024 to December 2024.

This is a full time temporary supply teacher role.

The Role

Teacher of Science and Mathematics

Five days a week

Positive confident classroom management skills with a focus on Assessment for Learning.

Innovative teacher able to adapt lessons to the changing needs of students

The academy are interested in hearing from early career teachers, experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with experience of teaching Mathematics and science to students aged 11 to 16.

The school follows as Islamic ethos but welcome teachers from all faiths and backgrounds.

Oversubscribed independent school for girls aged 11 to 16 in South Manchester

Relocated in August 2023 to new larger premises

Excellent senior leadership support

Small classes of up to 15 students with impeccable behaviour and a drive to be academically successful.

The school is part of a thriving private academy trust supporting Manchester's Islamic community which includes a boys school and a preparatory school.

To join us and be successful in this Science and Maths Teacher role, you will need to:

• Have recent experience (in the last 4 years) of teaching GCSE Maths or GCSE Science supported by references
• Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
• Provide a full CV of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work full time in the UK
