Description of the Role:
Simply Education is excited to be working with a well-regarded secondary school in Bolton, Greater Manchester, to recruit a dedicated and passionate Secondary English Teacher. This full-time role involves teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students, fostering a love of literature and language, while helping them achieve their academic potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
Develop and implement creative lesson plans that inspire a love of reading, writing, and literature.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help students succeed.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel motivated and encouraged to participate.
Differentiate lessons and use a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.
Foster high standards of behavior, respect, and effort in all lessons, encouraging students to take responsibility for their learning.
Collaborate with colleagues in the English department and across the school to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, assessments, and progress.
Regularly communicate with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and offer support where needed.
Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities to further your teaching practice.

Applicant Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and GCSE English Language and Literature requirements.
A passion for English, with the ability to inspire students and help them achieve their best.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
