Finance Manager
Salary circa £45-60k dependent on skills and experience
Full Time – Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (30-minute break)

Cirrus Research PLC manufacturer and supplier of high-quality acoustic measurement instrumentation. They are dedicated to the prevention and eradication of noise-induced hearing loss and environmental noise pollution.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Financial Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the company. You will manage a team of three within the accounts function and actively participate in a number of key projects within the business, as well as contributing to the development and execution of the finance strategy.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Managing the accounts function for 6 companies (including European & overseas entities) and holding company.
- Preparing financial reports and financial statements.
- Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations to directors for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance against budget, forecast, and KPIs.
- Look to optimise cash management strategies and maximise investment returns.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with the directors to develop accurate forecasts and budgets.
- Track budget performance throughout the year, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Analyse cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Develop financial models and scenarios to support strategic decision-making and investment analysis.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements or upgrades to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Requirements:
- Qualified with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Part Qualified or Qualified by experience.
- Experience of using Sage 50 or similar accounting software
- Intermediate Excel skills as a minimum
- Someone who is driven, passionate about accounts and looking to eventually be the number one in the finance function.
