A leading firm in East Anglia, known for its strong market presence and technical expertise, is looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join its Saxmundham office.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to manage a diverse client portfolio, provide high-quality corporate tax services, and play a key role in business development.
Working closely with Corporate Tax partners and a skilled team across the region, the successful candidate will use their technical expertise to deliver outstanding client service, supervise junior staff, and actively contribute to the firm’s growth through business development activities.

Role Responsibilities - Manage a portfolio of corporate and business tax clients
- Oversee the preparation of Corporation Tax Returns, computations, and related advice
- Provide remuneration planning and profit extraction strategies for clients
- Advise on tax issues related to business acquisitions and disposals, including Business Asset Disposal Relief, in collaboration with the Corporate Finance team on M&A transactions
- Lead corporate group restructuring and advise on Capital Allowances
- Handle R&D tax credits, Patent Box, and Land Remediation Relief claims
- Manage cross-border tax issues, including Transfer Pricing and large company compliance
- Provide advice on Employment Related Securities, employee share schemes, and Loan Relationships
- Conduct tax due diligence and advise on EIS/SEIS
- Mentor and support junior staff in tax compliance and advisory services
- Participate in business development activities to expand the firm’s client base

Required Skills and Qualifications - ACA or ACCA part-qualified or studying, with significant experience in UK practice
- Extensive corporate and business tax experience within a professional services environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage client relationships and support business development
- Proficiency in IT (Excel, Word), with Alphatax and CCH software experience being an advantage
- Flexibility and willingness to travel within East Anglia
