Job Description
Main Purpose of Role:
Working in Fabrication, the successful candidate will work as part of a small team responsible for the fabrication of steel doors, including operation of CNC machinery (Emmegi Twin Ferro saw, Emmegi T3 Star Phantomatic milling centre). These processes require the correct steel profile to be selected, loaded into the saw for cutting, labelled and loaded into the milling centre to be processed.
Key Tasks:
• To ensure product quality through effective quality management systems, procedures, and standard operating processes
• Promote best working practice in all production areas to achieve effectiveness, control, and efficiency
• Working to a production schedule to maintain product lead times through delivering components on time to the next process
• Able to read and understand basic drawings and cutting lists to ensure that all required parts are processed
Key Requirements for Role:
• Make correct set-ups for Punch machine operations
•Operating a Panel Bender/loading programs/checking corrections.
•Maintain tooling.
•Select punch programmes..
•Position and remove parts from the die.
•Perform dimensional inspections.
• Perform routine Operator maintenance.
• Achieve / exceed set production targets / KPIs.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Management
• Maintain stock control log to ensure that sufficient stock of materials are held.
• Adhere good housekeeping to maintain a clean, organised and hazard free work area.
• Comply with the Health & Safety requirements of the Company including correct use of PPE Make correct set-ups for Punch machine operations.
• Operating a Panel Bender/loading programs/checking corrections.
• Maintain tooling
• Position and remove parts from the die
• Perform dimensional inspections.
• Perform routine Operator maintenance.
• Achieve / exceed set production targets / KPIs.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Management
• Maintain equipment, adhering to quality and safety standards and keeping detailed part records

Person Specification:
• Detail-conscious.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion.
• Flexible approach.
• A good understanding of sheet metal fabrication machinery and production.
• Trumpf or similar Punch machinery programming experience.
• Punch/fold machine experience.
• Ideally experienced in Door Manufacturing.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ideally familiar with modern manufacturing processes and total quality improvement
• Fork Lift Truck Licence is desirable but not essential
