We are looking for a motivated shift production manager to join a global manufacturing company in the UK. You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. The position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure safe operation across people, plant, and process always.
- Deliver the daily and weekly production plan, maintaining product quality.
- Collaborate with management to ensure appropriate staffing levels and team skills.
- Lead, manage, coach, and drive the production team to achieve KPIs.
- Support management in developing the business operating plan.
- Cover for the Head of Production as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and liaise with the H&S Team to maintain statutory responsibilities.
- Maintain excellent GMP standards, aligning with BRC requirements.
- Deliver the daily production plan and complete shift reports.
- Manage, report, and drive KPIs including safety, quality, throughput, yield, waste, labour effectiveness, and downtime.
- Work with planning and technical teams to ensure order fulfilment while maintaining compliance.
- Motivate, manage, and develop team workers, supporting recruitment and retention.
- Conduct daily maintenance walk-rounds and report issues to the Engineering Team.
- Support NPD and the installation and operation of new equipment and processes.

Skills and Qualifications
- Health & Safety awareness and management
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Integrity and sound judgment under pressure
- People management and influencing skills
- Knowledge of food safety systems and factory standards
- Knowledge of thermoforming machines is a benefit
