Role

Operating as the Project Manager, you will be responsible for projects in the business with values of circa £8m. As the Project Manager, you will be supported by site delivery team to ensure quality and progress is maintained throughout delivery.

You will manage anywhere between 1-2 larger scale projects across the Midlands, which will be a mix of new build and refurbishment schemes. You will also be involved in the Planning and Design Coordination aspects of the projects.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Project Manager, you will:

* Manage multiple interesting schemes across the Midlands region

* Managing the efficient and economical execution of contracts under the main contract conditions

* Ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and aligned with regulatory and client standards to promote on-going work with Site Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and external stakeholders

* Manage site teams to deliver quality work across multiple projects with values of circa £8m

* Promote the well-being of your teams and ensure that an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought, backgrounds and experience is actively encouraged and achieved

* Ensure compliance with all construction regulations and health & safety requirements

* Drive performance, efficiency, and productivity across the delivery team

* Lead planning and scheduling phases for both new build and refurbishment projects

* Represent the contractor professionally in all client and consultant meetings

Person

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates a proactive, positive and confident leadership approach with strong communication skills.

Essential Skills & Experience:

* Previous experience as a Project Manager in main contracting

* Demonstrated experience delivering a mixture of projects including new build, fit-out and refurbishment projects

* Strong understanding of UK building regulations and JCT/NEC contracts

* SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and Temporary Works certified

* Excellent organisational and delegation skills

* Knowledge of contract conditions and law within the industry

* Commercially aware with a focus on safety and risk management

* Confident in leading multi-disciplinary teams across multiple sites
