Working with some of the leading retailers in the UK, this company prides itself on the maintenance of high quality products. You can be at the centre of its success, leading the Quality team.

Job responsibilities:

• Stay on top of all relevant standards and codes of practice to make sure the customer, BRC, and legal requirements are met and maintained
• Ensure HACCP requirements are running smoothly and delivering results. Help evaluate risks and define controls before introducing new processes, products, or raw materials
• Understand, implement, and review the QMS to meet safety and quality standards
• Review the current audit system to guarantee critical procedures for product safety, legality, and quality are followed
• Support the Technical Manager with audits and leading them when needed
• Handle responses and close out non-conformance reports
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and production teams to meet all the business's technical needs. Step in for the Technical Manager when absent
• Lead the QA team, handling its activities, recruitment, and retention
• Maintain and improve the Quality culture within the factory and across the business

What you will need:

• Similar experience Technical/QA Manager position in a food manufacturer
• Previous experience of leading a Technical or Quality team
