Job Title: Resident Network Engineer

Join a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) specializing in network and security solutions as a Resident Network Engineer. As a trusted Extreme Networks and Palo Alto partner, our client delivers cutting-edge solutions to high-profile customers. This role is based onsite at a Hospital in Chelsea, where you'll play a key part in maintaining and optimizing critical network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
Administer and manage the hospital's network infrastructure, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Handle and prioritize network tickets, contributing to project work when required.
Manage incident requests, process changes, and attend CAB meetings to ensure minimal downtime.
Proactively monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues (e.g., wireless access problems), and escalate as needed.
Represent the MSP onsite, acting as a trusted point of contact while liaising with the remote support team for additional backup.

Skills/Must have:
Strong customer-facing skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and proactive problem-solving.
Previous onsite experience, ideally in high-pressure environments (e.g., trading floors, airports, hospitals).
Solid networking knowledge (CCNA+ level) with expertise in:
BGP, OSPF
Network Access Control (NAC)
Authentication protocols (RADIUS)
Experience handling incidents, making informed decisions, and ensuring continuous uptime.
A reliable individual who thrives in environments where attention to detail and autonomy are essential.
