Approach Personnel are partnering with our long standing client to recruit a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator. As a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be an integral part of the project delivery process.

The role focusses on successfully taking the lead in helping with costing of potential works on exciting new projects.

Duties:

Provide costing services on shop fitting, interior fit out, and refurbishment projects for commercial and retail clients
Working as part of the pre-construction team to produce estimates for tenders
Occasionally visiting sites to inspect the level of remediation and/or works needed to complete the project
Ensuring all costings are to industry standard and follow safety guidelines and legislation
Assessing drawings and visiting site to provide accurate needs and valuations of projects, including costing for labour and materials
Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts

About You:

Experience in retail or office fit-outs
Experience in preparing contracts, CVR's, cash flow forecasts and final accounts
Experience in monitoring and control of costs against budget
Knowledge of relevant building and construction regulations and standards
Strong numerical and IT skills
Financially astute
Customer focused
Excellent supply chain relationships
Excellent knowledge of the industry, suppliers, subcontractors and legislation
The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts

The Package:

Office Based Role, Monday to Friday
Salary up to £60,000 dependent on experience
