Maintenance Technician/Fitter

Location: Stratford-upon-Avon, Long Marston, GB, CV37 8AQWorking Hours: 40 hours per week - Shift pattern: 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00Salary: £14.93 per hour (£31,000 per annum)

My client is looking to recruit a skilled Maintenance Technician/Fitter to assist with the maintenance and day-to-day operation of fixed plant and machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that equipment reliability is maximised, contributing to maintaining high levels of production output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond immediately to plant breakdowns and assist in resolving issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform repairs on machinery and maintain site facilities, tooling, and equipment.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to the reliability, efficiency, and performance of site equipment, reporting these to Site Management.
  • Provide technical support to Supervisors in the operation of plant machinery.
  • Assist in maintaining plant availability and meeting production targets.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation and company standards.
  • Follow company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety, and Community.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the client.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Logical and practical problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic welding/fabrication skills are an advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in medium to heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety practices.
  • FLT licence is desirable.
  • Experience and qualifications in welding and fabrication are beneficial.
  • Completion of a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Electrical qualifications would be advantageous.
