About the Role:

Attendance Officer: We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Attendance Officer to join a vibrant and multicultural two-form entry primary school in Enfield. This role involves managing and maintaining accurate attendance records for the school, and working closely with staff, students, and parents to promote excellent attendance and punctuality. This is a part-time position, working mornings only from 8:45 AM to 11:45 AM, with a start date in February 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Attendance Officer, you will:

• Monitor and record daily attendance, ensuring accurate records in line with statutory requirements.

• Follow up on absences by contacting parents/carers to understand reasons for non-attendance

.• Support the school in promoting good attendance and punctuality through initiatives and regular communication.

• Prepare attendance reports for senior leadership and external agencies as required

.• Work closely with class teachers and senior leaders to address persistent absenteeism or punctuality concerns.

• Liaise with the local authority and external agencies regarding attendance matters.
Application Requirements:
• Prior experience as an attendance officer or similar role is highly desirable.

• Strong administrative and organisational skills

.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Knowledge of school attendance policies and procedures.

• Competency in using attendance management software (e.g., SIMS).

Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
