Problem solving general issues and navigating through other departments  is key.  The role will involve detailed knowledge of water quality standards, sites and sampling points to identify issues which can then be escalated and used to manage any water quality problems using various techniques.

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

Undertaking on-site analysis and sampling of drinking water and associated samples from water treatment works, service reservoirs, routine customer calls and other sampling points as required using aseptic techniques.

Have an awareness of the environment and the impact on the representative nature of samples taken and how this may affect what the company is measured on (e.g. MZC/CRI).

Complete on-site assessments of our internal plumbing to identify filters/softeners and other factors which may affect the samples with an ability to make onsite decisions about next steps and you will be COSSH trained to prevent or reduce the exposure to substances that are hazardous to people health.
You'll also need to exercise judgment and balance on the tools you use for these activities and the risk & impact of activities to our customers, the general public, and road-traffic users and you will need to ensure compliance with our statutory, regulatory and company standards at all times.
