Field Service Engineer

· Permanent staff position, Monday to Friday

· Home-based, working across a region mainly between Edinburgh & the North of England (job can involve being away from home regularly during the week)

· £38,000 - £40,000 basic + overtime and on call allowances

· Option of company vehicle or vehicle allowance

An experienced Service Engineer with a predominantly electrical skillset is wanted by a leading global engineering company.

What You'll Bring to the Team

· Recognised engineering qualifications, ideally electrical

· Any combination of mechanical, instrumentation or controls skillsets are also beneficial

· Proven experience within a field service / field maintenance role

· CompEx trained

· Exposure to COMAH and/or ATEX environments would be good

· Good level of IT literacy

· A full UK driving licence

What You'll Be Doing

· Working on various industrial sites around Scotland & the North of England

· Performing routine maintenance and repairs on fire & explosion protection systems, diagnosing faults and providing technical solutions

· Providing remote technical support to customers where possible

· Reading schematics and tech drawings

· Managing your own diary, including travel arrangements

· Representing the business in a customer-facing role, providing a professional & polite service
