West End Garage is an independent and privately-owned business working with Škoda since 1987. Today we are one of the UK's leading dealerships for Škoda with sites located in Edinburgh, Stirling, and Dunfermline.

Due to our continued success, We are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Service Advisor to join our Service team at our Škoda Dealership in Sighthill, Edinburgh.

Your working hours will be between Monday - Friday 07.45 to 18.00 with one half day per week plus a 1 in 3 Saturday morning paid at overtime rate. Typically you can expect to earn £28,500 in your first year, subject to performance in the role.

Earning opportunities in year two and beyond are uncapped and could exceed £35,000 for the right hard working and committed individual.

The role and responsibilities include:

You will be welcomed into a friendly, motivated and highly successful team working within a state of the art facility.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the business, our expectation will be for the successful individual to observe and learn every aspect of the Aftersales Department.
As a Trainee Service Advisor you will be focused on ensuring that a highest level of customer care is given throughout the customer journey. The main purpose of the role will be to deal with customer requirements for service and repair in an efficient and courteous manner
Meet and great customer on arrival and providing them with a smooth service from drop off through to collection
Check vehicle history and identify if any additional work is required such as recalls, service plans and warranty details
Liaise with the workshop, parts and sales departments to ensure customer vehicles are ready on time
Update customer with the progress on their vehicles, gain authority for additional work
Establishing and arranging customer onward travel arrangements arranging courtesy cars.
Effectively communicate the invoice and take payment from the customers on final handover.

What will your role look like?

We will mentor, train and coach you to fully understand our systems and processes.
You will be enrolled on the Škoda Service Advisor Accreditation path.
Škoda training with full Accreditation should be achieved within 12 months.
