About the role

A great opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic finance team. This role involves bookkeeping, management accounts, and statutory account support, alongside various finance-related administrative tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager to develop their skills and contribute to the company's growth.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the sales ledger, including credit control and debtor reporting
  • Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Processing receipts and reconciling company bank accounts
  • Handling purchase ledger activities, supplier reconciliations, and weekly payments
  • Preparing financial and operational reports
  • Supporting VAT reconciliations and returns
  • Assisting in the preparation of accounts to trial balance

About the successful applicant

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a finance role, along with strong interpersonal and organisational skills and a keen eye for accuracy. While an AAT qualification (or equivalent) is preferred, it is not essential. Proficiency in accounting systems such as Xero and intermediate Excel skills would be highly beneficial for this role.
