Job Title: Picker/Line Operator
Location: Newmarket
Salary: Starting £12.20 per hour
Job Type: Full-time, Temp to permanent position

As a Picker/Line Operator, you will play a crucial role in the metal recycling process. Your primary responsibility will be to manually sort and separate different types of metals from a conveyor belt or designated areas, ensuring that the materials are correctly identified and placed in the appropriate categories for further processing.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manually sort and separate various metals, such as ferrous and non-ferrous materials, from waste or recycling streams.
• Identify and remove non-metallic contaminants from the metal recycling process.
• Work alongside other team members to maintain a steady flow of materials on the conveyor belt.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

The Candidate:
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving heavy materials.
• This role requires working in an outdoor or semi-outdoor environment, exposed to varying weather conditions.
• The job involves standing for extended periods, as well as bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
