The Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Water Jet Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes involving water jet cutting technology. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

What will you be doing?

* Design, develop, and improve water jet cutting processes to ensure high-quality production and efficiency.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to deliver productionised programs and fixtures for water jet machines.

* Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate new materials, tools, and techniques for water jet cutting applications.

* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to water jet equipment, tooling, and processes.

* Transfer parts and programs from CNC routers to water jet cutting equipment.

* Monitor and analyse production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

* Provide technical support and training to production staff on water jet cutting techniques and equipment operation.

* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and AS9100 standards.

* Work with forged aluminium, steel, and titanium parts in the water jet cutting processes.

What will you bring to the party?

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in water jet cutting or a similar manufacturing process.

* Strong knowledge of water jet cutting technology, equipment, and materials.

* Proficiency in CADCAM software and other engineering design tools.
