Head Of Service **

We're teaming up with a company who are looking to find a strong Head Of Service for their Children and Young People's Service Team in the Ribchester area.

The company provides high quality residential care and education for children and young people with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties and complex needs associated with challenging behaviour.

Location: Ribchester.

Contract: Permanent.

Pay Rate: Starting from £65k per annum + £5,000 Performance Bonus.

Job Summary:

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who has been a Registered Manager working with children with Autism and associated conditions, to take the next step in their career and become Head of Service. Working as part of the senior management team and lead a team of hardworking and committed team leaders and support workers.
  • The successful candidate will provide strong, strategic leadership to drive regulatory success.
  • They will ensure our children and young people enjoy a safe and happy home environment whilst developing their life skills and independence under the guidance and support of the care, therapy and education teams.
  • You will be able to demonstrate a highly developed awareness of safeguarding, team management, and challenges associated with a diagnosis of Autism and other complex difficulties.
  • You will also need to be able to apply the principles of care management and use your exceptional organisational skills together with a high level of accuracy, to ensure the efficient running of a successful care home.
  • We also have highly skilled and experienced Registered Managers on site who will offer full support and guidance where required to welcome you and enable a smooth transition into the team here at Brook View School.

Your excellent people skills will:

  • Provide inspirational leadership to the staff team.
  • Offer compassionate support and encouragement to our children, young people and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, understanding competing demands of the different professionals.
  • Develop strong working relationships with the range of professionals to ensure the safety, well-being and best outcomes for the children and young people we support.
  • Provide support and guidance to families.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant qualification in social care, child care, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care).
  • Significant experience in a leadership role within a residential care setting for children and young people.
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions, including Autism and Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.
  • Proven ability to manage complex and challenging behaviour.
