Management AccountantExeter, Devon£45,000 per annum

Our client, a leading local business with international operations, is currently seeking a highly-motivated Management Accountant to contribute to their forward-thinking team in a permanent, full-time position. This opportunity includes the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement.

As Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in delivering timely management accounts, reports, and controls to enable informed board decisions, while managing the accounting and reporting function for the organisation.

The responsibilities:

• Record, manage, and report on a portfolio of companies within the organisation
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow
• Ensure compliance with financial control procedures and prepare monthly reconciliations
• Deliver financial data and analysis to support senior management goals and projects
• Provide key data for departmental financial reporting and support budgetary targets
• Monitor accounting developments and recommend process improvements
• Manage fixed asset registers, ensuring accurate depreciation and amortisation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE) and maintain internal controls

The candidate:

• CIMA/ACCA qualified with strong skills in preparing management accounts and performing reconciliations and analyses.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Sage.
• Highly organized and structured in work approach, ensuring clarity for others to follow.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, employing a pragmatic approach to tasks.
