We are hiring for a skilled Fitter/Welder to become an integral part of their main production area, this is a permanent role operating over a 2 shift pattern to be based in Solihull, West Midlands.

As a pivotal member of the team, the successful candidate will demonstrate a robust background in a production environment, particularly within body building. The role demands a hands-on approach to pipe welding, utilising both Mild Steel and Stainless Steel, alongside expertise in fabrication and chassis fitting. The ability to maintain a clean and productive workspace is paramount, as is a steadfast commitment to Health and Safety regulations.

The role requires a mechanically minded individual who thrives under pressure and exhibits a strong ability to interpret drawings. Self-motivation and the capacity to use one's own initiative are essential qualities. Candidates must possess substantial experience in Mild Steel and Stainless Steel MIG welding, with proficiency in both light and heavy gauge welding. Fabrication and fitting skills are crucial, and while not mandatory, a forklift truck and overhead crane licence would be advantageous.

In this role, the Fitter/Welder will engage closely with team members and shift supervision to ensure the master production schedule is met without compromising on quality. Adherence to established procedures such as EDS, COP, STOP, and standard best practices is expected to maintain and enhance performance standards.
