Gleeson Recruitment are working with a business in Derby that are seeking a Finance Manager to join their team permanently after an interim contract period. This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on with day-to-day finance operations, lead a small team, and support the accounts function.

This role is a permanent role and would suit someone immediately available or on a short notice period. Alternatively, temp to perm will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently
Manage and support a small team: Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Payroll
Be the go-to person for questions
Provide support and guidance to an accounts team
Collaborate with and provide finance support to 4 companies under the business
Assist with cash flow forecasting, ensuring the business maintains optimal liquidity
Work with various finance systems including Business Central, SAGE, Navision, and Microsoft Dynamics

What You'll Need:

Strong finance experience in a management role
Knowledge of payroll processing
Cash flow forecasting and financial analysis skills
Experience with Business Central, SAGE, Navision, or Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable
Ability to support and develop an accounts team
HR exposure would be a bonus, but not essential
Excellent communication skills, both with your team and senior management

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Qualification: Part Qualified / Qualified by Experience
