We are seeking a dedicated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering & Manufacturing team in Wakefield. The role involves maintaining and improving the performance of all line machinery within our FMCG environment.

Description

  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure operational performance
  • Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to improve machinery lifespan
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
  • Adhere to company's health and safety policies at all times
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimise operational efficiency
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the Engineering & Manufacturing department
  • Document all maintenance and repair work for future reference

Profile

A successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer should have:

  • Recognised Engineering qualifications, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines
  • Prior experience working in an FMCG environment
  • Strong technical skills with a good understanding of machinery maintenance best practices
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Good problem-solving abilities with a focus on improving operational efficiency
