7.5 TONNE DRIVER

PAY RATE: £12.50 - £25.00 PER HOUR 

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Nottingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

To be considered for this role you MUST have a minimum of 24 months of continuous driving experience.

Rates of Pay (PAYE):

Basic: £12.50
Overtime after 8 hours: £18.75
Saturday: £18.75
Sunday: £25.00
Bank Holiday: £25.00
Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a 7.5T Driver will involve but not be limited to:

Delivering most building materials and home interior improvements products (not bathrooms and kitchens)
Operate and drive various 7.5t vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills

As a 7.5T Driver you must:

Be able to work as part of a team
Have a minimum of 24 months continuous experience driving Category C1 vehicles
Have no more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
Be able to use PDA (personal digital assistant)
Hold a valid UK Category C1 Licence and have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
Be able to speak and read a good level of English
Have excellent punctuality and time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Have effective communication skills
Desirable Experience

Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
 Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training 

Six-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment
Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
After successful Assessment, there will be an on-job training
