Our client is seeking a Design Coordinator/Manager to join them and help manage a diverse range of civil engineering projects for key clients like the Environment Agency, Highways England, and local authorities.

About the Role Due to an increased workload, our client is looking for a Design Coordinator/Manager who will join a proactive and engaged team. You will play a key role in tackling a variety of design and build civil engineering schemes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design Team Management: Lead and manage a team of consultants and specialist designers.
Client Meetings: Attend meetings with clients, presenting and discussing design ideas and solutions.
Document Preparation: Prepare design documents, briefs, reports, and management plans.
Design Programmes: Develop and manage design programmes to ensure timely project delivery.
Compliance Review: Review design documents for compliance with scheme requirements, buildability, and value engineering opportunities.Skills Required

Communication: Strong collaborative communication skills.
Technical Expertise: Experience at Senior Engineer, Sub Agent, Site Agent, or Site Manager level with an engineering background.
Process Understanding: Knowledge of accepted design processes, procedures, guidance, codes, and standards.
Detail-Oriented: Keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy.
Management: Ability to encourage timely and accurate design solutions from designers.
Eligibility: Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
