Quality Engineers required on major Highways scheme in South Wales. Our client is the Tier 1 contractor on a £500million project, consisting of 18kms of new highway including multiple RC structures, retaining walls and culverts. Our client requires Quality Engineers with both major highways and structures experience on a permanent basis. Our client is also willing to consider candidates who do not live within commuting distance and will provide an accommodation allowance to these employees.

As a Quality Engineer you will:

* Be responsible for ensuring QA paperwork is completed.

* Ensure that no work is undertaken without an approved Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) - you will not be responsible for producing these.

* Assist with the production and raising of Material Approval Requests (MAR's) and only approved materials are being used.

* Liaise with Materials Engineer to ensure correct tests are being completed and results are forwarded for collation against ITP's.

* Assist with producing QA form templates.

* Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) against workmanship issues.

* Request As Built surveys for completed works.

Our client requires Section Engineers with:

* ONC/HNC/Degree or in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

* Experience of working in a similar position within Civil Engineering

* Experience of major highways and RC structures (ideally)

* CSCS card

Salary/Benefits:

* Up to £50,000 per annum

* £6,500 car allowance

* 33 days holiday (includes bank holidays)

* 6% company pension scheme

* £7,200 accommodation allowance for anyone living over 1.5hrs commute from the project
