Packaging Specialist

Role Requirements:

* A degree (BSc/MSc) or equivalent in Packaging Science, Engineering, or Material Design.

* At least 5 years of experience in packaging within a manufacturing environment, packaging supplier, procurement, or R&D.

* Strong understanding of packaging specifications, functionality, product compatibility, and supply chain processes.

* Experience in packaging quality management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

* Knowledge of engineering principles (Chemical or Mechanical).

* Awareness of sustainability and compliance regulations related to packaging.

* Highly organized, self-motivated, and structured in approach.

* Able to collaborate with various departments (Marketing, R&D, Procurement, Suppliers, etc.).

* Project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives.

* Experience working in multinational teams, understanding cultural differences.

* Regional-level experience, supporting multiple sites, with a willingness to travel.

* Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement the best packaging solutions across the region, ensuring high-quality and fit-for-purpose packaging.

* Manage and optimize the packaging portfolio in collaboration with product management, procurement, manufacturing, and suppliers.

* Standardize and harmonize packaging across the business while meeting company needs.

* Ensure packaging quality by working with suppliers and internal teams, conducting tests and trials.

* Provide technical support and problem-solving when packaging issues arise.

* Ensure all packaging meets sustainability and regulatory standards.

* Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive value engineering projects.

* Lead and contribute to packaging-related projects.

* Understand manufacturing requirements for packaging and filling lines, including artwork and secondary packaging.

* Drive operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

* Maintain accurate packaging data in line with company standards
