Our client, a distinguished player in the construction industry, is currently recruiting an HR Manager for a contract position based in East Aberthaw, Rhoose. This is a full-time office role with an immediate start and extends until 14th February 2025. Given the site's location, a driving capability is essential as it is not accessible via public transport.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee talent management processes and initiatives
Handle disciplinaries and ensure adherence to HR processes
Engage with employees and leverage interpersonal skills to facilitate change
Support and manage managers who may not be fully versed in HR processes
Travel occasionally to Turnstead and Dunbar for short visits, with expenses covered
Work closely with union representatives, with support from the Senior HR Manager
Challenge and push back when necessary, representing HR effectively
Integrate seamlessly into the construction site environment

Job Requirements:

Experience in HR within a heavy industry or manufacturing environment
Strong talent management skills
Proficiency in handling disciplinaries and HR processes
Effective interpersonal skills, especially in managing change
Experience working with unionised environments
Ability to take initiative and manage HR functions independently
Must be able to read between the lines and engage effectively in discussions
Willingness to be present on-site and easily integrate with the team

Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate, £24 - £28 per hour
