About the Department/RoleThe Growing Faith Foundation (GFF) exists to change the culture of the Church of England so that everyone instinctively puts children and young people at the heart of all they do. It involves households, churches and schools working together with the child or young person at the centre. The GFF team of 7 people sits within the Education Office of the Church of England and is developing Hubs, networks, programmes, research, chaplaincy and other projects.
What you'll be doingThe purpose of this one-year fixed term role is to support the work of the GFF team with administration, communication and events management. This is a role full of potential for the right person to deploy their existing skills and develop new ones in a supportive, purposeful and friendly team, which is keen to become more representative of the communities it is serving. Diversity, equity and inclusion are of key importance to the team and its work. The role will be a great opportunity for someone keen to develop transferable skills in the workplace, whilst contributing to an exciting overarching vision for children and young people. The GFF team combines the close working relationships of a small team with the wider opportunities presented by being part of the larger, diverse Education Team.
In this role you will be:- Managing the digital filing system, including ensuring that data protection needs are considered and actioned
- Creating and handling data spreadsheets
- Preparing and distributing the GFF digital newsletter
- Organising venues for meetings and residentials
- Creating robust risk assessments for online and in-person events
- Providing technical, safeguarding and other support for online meetings
Key role requirements- This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.
- In this role you will be working from home with occasional travel to events or meetings around 3 times a month.
- An enhanced DBS is required as part of this role.
- The closing date to apply for this role is midnight on 20 January 2025.
- This is a 2-stage interview process, the 1st stage is a task and if you are shortlisted, the 2nd stage is an interview on 04 February 2025.

To be successful in this role, you will have:- Understanding of the work of the Growing Faith Foundation
- Experience of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
- Experience of editing and uploading videos and podcasts
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail in presentation, planning and delivery
- Understanding of the importance of data protection
- Self-motivated, organised, comfortable working on own initiative
- Ability to prioritise and to meet deadlines

- A salary of £33,382 per annum plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.
