Nursery Practitioner (Level 2)

Hourly Rate : £12

Hours Per Week: 40

Shift Times: 07:30-18:00

To be considered for the role of Nursery Practitioner (Level 2) you will have:
  • A minimum of a Level 2 Childcare related qualification.
  • GCSE or equivalent English and Mathematics Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014).
  • A strong knowledge of EYFS frameworks and safeguarding


About the Nursery:

There is a high quality of care and learning given to children at each stage of their development.
The nursery has an in-house kitchen producing freshly cooked nutritious food twice a day. A snack is also provided twice a day with fresh fruits and vegetables. Babies are supported to have a balanced diet with their weaning menu which is regularly updated with parents input.

The role of a Nursery Practitioner (Level 2) within the Nursery involves:
  • Supporting the Room Leader in the day to day running of the designated room and nursery
  • Acting as a Key person to several children
  • Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of resources and equipment in the indoor and outdoor areas
  • Completing observations and ensuring that these are recorded accordingly
  • Planning and delivering activities that in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Building strong relationships with parents and keeping a strong line of communication with them
  • Adhering to internal and external policies and regulations
  • Reporting and recording all incidents, as well as promoting a culture of safeguarding
