Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the Home Counties in the search for a Senior Planning Policy Officer to join their Town Planning department on an initial 3-month contract, then rolling.
 
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small but very close-knit team to help with the preparation for the local plan examination. There will be a prominent focus on Housing evidence figures, 5-year Housing Land Supply, employment policy and to work on outcomes of the NPPF.
 
We are looking for a qualified Town Planner with recent local authority planning experience of planning policy work either in a local authority or private practice in the UK. It would be beneficial to hold a RTPI accredited Planning Degree or equivalent Planning qualification and/or have experience in a similar position.
 
The role is offered on a hybrid working arrangement, with office presence once per week. Our client is looking for someone to start almost immediately, so if you are interested in going forward for the role then please don't hold back.
