Import Merchandiser

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Import Merchandiser to join our dynamic team in Stockport. As an Import Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in managing the entire import process for our beauty products, from initial sourcing to final delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

* Source and select reliable suppliers for our beauty products, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and ethical sourcing practices.

* Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, lead times, and payment terms.

* Manage the import process, including customs clearance, documentation, and logistics.

* Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.

* Work closely with the buying team to forecast demand and plan product launches.

* Collaborate with the design and packaging teams to ensure product specifications are met.

* Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the import process.

* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to identify opportunities for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

* Proven experience as an Import Merchandiser or similar role.

* Strong understanding of international trade and import regulations.

* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

* Strong organisational and time management skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* A passion for the beauty industry and a keen eye for detail.

Salary

£28,000 per year
