With a commitment to excellence and a focus on delivering high-quality projects, we are seeking an experienced Planner to join us and play a pivotal role in supporting our Pre-con and delivery teams to execute against our core values and expectations of our clients.

The Joinery Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for bespoke joinery projects. This involves analysing project requirements, interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with clients and suppliers, and ensuring estimates are accurate and competitive. The estimator plays a vital role in securing new business and ensuring the profitability of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Assessment:

* Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents.

* Understand client requirements, materials, and finishes.

Cost Estimation:

* Calculate material, labour, and production costs for joinery items.

* Provide detailed and itemised cost estimates.

* Develop pricing models for bespoke projects.

Vendor and Supplier Coordination:

* Source materials and liaise with suppliers for pricing.

* Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with vendors.

Client Interaction:

* Attend client meetings to discuss project requirements.

* Present cost breakdowns and address client queries.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

* Work closely with the design, production, and project management teams.

* Provide guidance on budgetary constraints during the design phase.

Reporting and Documentation:

* Prepare detailed estimation reports and proposals.

* Maintain records of all estimates and relevant documentation.

Continuous Improvement:

* Update costing methodologies based on market trends.

* Propose cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience as a joinery estimator or similar role in the construction/joinery industry.

Technical Skills:

* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files.

* Strong knowledge of joinery materials, manufacturing processes, and installation techniques.

* Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite.

Soft Skills:

* Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Effective communication and negotiation abilities
