Our client, a West-Midlands based award-winning company, are one of the UK's leading commercial vehicle body builders. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hard-working and reliable commercial body builder to join this established, experienced and friendly team.

With a 4 day working week as standard, opportunities for overtime readily available & excellent rates of pay, this 40+ years established company is home to many industry specialists & experts in the vehicle body building field and are looking forward to growing the existing team.

Please see below for the knowledge and experience this position requires: -

Duties include:

* Building various bespoke HGV & LCV Commercial Vehicles - Luton, Curtainsider, Box Van, Dropside.

* Installing Safety Systems to meet European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approvals (ECWVTA)

* Using a variety of hand tools on a variety of materials - aluminium, steel, timber, GRP.

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

* Manage your time to ensure instillations are completed in given hours.

* Conduct regular fitment audits and validate.

* Capable of becoming a trainer for all young apprentices.

* Develop and improve methods of installation.

* Troubleshooting problems.

Experience required includes:

* Previous fabrication or assembly experience is required within an Automotive Manufacturing environment.

* Relevant Welding experience/ qualification within Welding

* You must be able to work from instructions or drawings.

* The ability to measure accurately, is essential.

* Flexibility to carry out various tasks during your shift is required.

* A good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team is essential.

* Good communication both written and verbally is required, to ensure a full understanding of Health & Safety principles etc.

* Able to read and follow fitting instructions and must have experience working on HGV and LCV Class vehicles.

Additional Information:

* 4 Day working week! Hours are: 7.00am - 5.00pm (Monday to Thursday)

* Permanent, full time position

* Overtime is available on Fridays and weekends according to business requirements.
