Salary: £40 - 50k per annum 

Are you an enthusiastic and skilled Automation Technician looking for an exciting opportunity? Join our Electrical and Automation Department and bring your expertise in electrical control systems, PLC programming, and more to our innovative team.

Personal Attributes:

- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in understanding and interpreting electrical drawings and control panel specifications.

- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in PLC programming, touchscreens, controls, and SCADA systems.

- Problem-Solving: Adept at fault finding in electrical control systems, PLCs, and hardwired systems.

- Team Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly with electricians and panel builders in designing and building control systems.

Experience & Knowledge needed for this Automation Technician Role:

- Control Systems Design: Experience in designing PLC-based electrical control systems from design specifications.

- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming PLCs, touchscreens, and safety configurable relay systems.

- System Integration: Ability to configure Remote I/O, servo motor, and inverter drives, and integrate ancillary equipment like vision systems into production lines.

- Industry Experience: Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry and/or explosive atmosphere regulations is desirable.

Key Responsibilities for this Automation Technician Role:

- Design and Development: Designing PLC-based electrical control systems and programming PLC, touchscreen, and safety systems.

- System Configuration: Configuring Remote I/O, servo motor, and inverter drives.

- Equipment Integration: Integrating ancillary equipment into production lines, such as vision systems.

- Troubleshooting: Fault finding in electrical control systems, PLCs, and hardwired systems.

- Commissioning and Support: Performing commissioning, support, and service work at customer sites.
