Alecto Recruitment is currently representing one of our clients, a prestigious Main Dealer in Basingstoke, seeking a skilled and experienced Master/Diagnostics Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities:

Diagnostics and Repair: Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance and support to other technicians, sharing knowledge and skills to enhance team performance.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles, adhering to manufacturer standards and guidelines.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers, explaining diagnostic results and repair recommendations clearly and professionally.
Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, performing quality control checks and testing as necessary.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and diagnostic equipment, participating in training and development programs as required.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

Experience: Proven experience as a Master Technician or Diagnostics Technician within a main dealership environment.
Qualifications: Relevant automotive qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent).
Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with the latest diagnostic tools and equipment.
Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities and a meticulous approach to troubleshooting.
Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers and team members.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Licenses: A full UK driving license is essential.
