Engineering Manager - Newcastle upon Tyne - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Public Sector & Commercial

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager on the behalf of our global facilities management client, The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a multi-site, large-scale contract with an annual turnover exceeding £2 million, you'll lead a talented technical team, delivering outstanding facilities management and commercial services.

This is a site based opportunity, working from the client's site in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear.

Package:

Competitive salary between £56,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Company car or car allowance
Performance related bonus
Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week) 
Participation in an 'out of hours' on call rota (to be confirmed) 
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a technical team of professionals across multiple sites
Manage statutory and reactive maintenance and oversee the CAFM system
Drive innovative FM projects, improve client relationships, and elevate the student living experience
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and champion best practices in technical services
Oversee planned and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal disruption
Manage contractors, technical logistics, and health & safety compliance
Prepare risk assessments and maintain COSHH compliance
Provide strategic and operational support to stakeholders and management
Requirements:

Recognised apprenticeship or HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Hands-on expertise in diagnosing and repairing building services, with strong PPM system knowledge (SFG20 preferred)
Strong communication, organisational, and planning abilities
Working understanding of Health & Safety legislation and IOSH certification
