Assistant Accountant - Leicester - up to £35,000 per annum - Permanent

Macildowie Finance are currently supporting a large business based in Central Leicester who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance team on a permanent basis.

This position is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who is actively studying for their ACCA/CIMA exams, and has existing experience working with aspects of finance including debits/credits and balance sheet work but is looking to get involved in areas such as budgeting and forecasting.

The business has focused heavily on investing in their culture, developing a strong sense of belonging and clear plans for the future & development of the team. They are also a leading player in their industry, with their finance team being an integral part of this success.

You will be expected to be in the office 3 days per week, with the remainder of the week at home.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts,
• Supporting in the completion of month end processes,
• Working on budgeting and forecasting,
• Business partnering with the wider finance team

The ideal candidate will be/have:

• Part Qualified/Studying ACCA/CIMA,
• Strong Excel skills,
• Confident communicator across all levels,
• Ability to multi-task and manage workload
