DSV are recruiting for Customer Service Specialist in Feltham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company committed to providing quality, innovative value and logistics services. To meet customers’ requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo effectively and in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements including Health & Safety to the satisfaction of clients and the profit of the company. 

Key Tasks 

  • Strong communication, including writing, speaking and active listening 

  • Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience and empathy 

  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills 

  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices 

  • Basic math and accounting skills 

  • Organisation, time management and prioritisation abilities 

  • Ability to be discreet and maintain the security of client information 

  • Effective computer skills to input to use account management software in a timely and efficient manner 

  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, ideally with intermediate experience level, able to use pivot tables and formulas 

Skills and Competencies 

  • Ability to be Customer focused with dedication in your service delivery to meet Customer needs 

  • Ability to maintain positive mind-set when working under pressure, re-prioritising workload where necessary 

  • Ability to be reliable, multitask and have strong problem-solving skills 

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy 

  • Excellent IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly as required 

  • Knowledge of the freight transport industry 

  • Experience within Accountancy and billing 

  • Prior experience in an accountancy environment 

  • Excel qualification to intermediate level or the equivalent of – Not Essential 

  • Cargo Operative qualification – Not Essential 

  • Ability to partake in a 5-year background check and referencing for security
