Assistant Accountant

Based: Heywood - hybrid working

Salary: up to £35k + study + enhanced pension + holiday purchase scheme

We are working with a fantastic client based in Heywood looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the team. This role will work under a great Finance Director (placed by us) and offer excellent exposure & opportunity to develop into a Management Accountant role. You will work closely with the FD and wider finance team, initially spending 3-6 months understanding transactional duties and working up to producing full management accounts.

Role:

• Posting journal and transactions onto SAP
• Credit Control & Purchase ledger duties
• Attending finance meetings with FD / MD
• Daily banking duties
• Month End management accounts production - Accruals / Prepayments
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Short term cashflow

Experience

• Assistant Accountant experience essential
• AAT qualified OR starting ACCA/CIMA
• Hands on and keen to develop
