SEN Teacher -

Prospero Teaching are recruiting on behalf of a SEN high school in Manchester that caters to students with autism, ADHD, and other social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team and provide high-quality education in a nurturing and supportive environment.

This school takes a child-centred approach, ensuring that every student has access to a tailored curriculum that meets their individual needs. The successful candidate will be working closely with a team of experienced SEN professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral support staff, to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

The Role:

Teaching a small class of students with additional learning needs, adapting lessons to meet their individual abilities and EHCP targets
Creating and delivering engaging lessons with a focus on developing key life skills alongside academic progress
Implementing behaviour management strategies and promoting emotional well-being
Working closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure each child's needs are metThe Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent SEN teaching qualification
Have experience working with students with autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs
Be passionate about inclusive education and able to adapt teaching methods to support individual learners
Have excellent classroom management skills and experience using positive behaviour strategies
Be proactive, resilient, and committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of young peopleCONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
