Personal Advisor - Care Leavers
Location: Burton-On-Trent, DE14
Pay: £16.93 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Contract: 3-month contract with potential for extension

We're looking for a committed and compassionate Personal Advisor to support care leavers as they transition to independent living. Working with Staffordshire County Council's Children & Families service, you'll help young people build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

Key responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of young people aged 16+ who are leaving care
Support them with accessing education, training, housing, and employment opportunities
Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to achieve positive outcomes
Complete assessments, reviews, and reports within set timescales
Maintain accurate records in line with policy and procedureAbout you:

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or willingness to achieve this within 2 years
At least two years' experience working with adolescents in social care, youth work or a similar setting
Knowledge of the care system and the needs of care leavers
Understanding of housing legislation, benefits system, and relevant safeguarding frameworks
