Dunbar Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated KS4 Teacher/Tutor for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school we are representing in Milton Keynes, starting in September. This role involves teaching a small group of students with SEN and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) towards achieving functional skills qualifications.

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of SEN/ASC students.
Use primary teaching techniques and strategies to effectively convey secondary-level content, ensuring inclusivity for all learners.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic and personal development of each student.
Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to develop comprehensive learning plans for each student.
Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure compliance with SEN policies and procedures.
Provide a safe and nurturing classroom environment that supports the emotional and social well-being of all students.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
Experience working with SEN/ASC students, particularly at Key Stage 4.
Familiarity with functional skills qualifications is preferred.
UK teaching experience is essential.
A valid DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
