About the Company: A leading modular construction specialist involved in the design, manufacture, and installation of modular units. Our client supports local authorities, developers, and architects on a range of projects, from standalone units like classrooms and pavilions to multi-unit housing developments.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our client’s team. This is a hybrid role, requiring an average of 8 days per month in the office. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting project teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and tenders for modular construction projects.

  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation to assess requirements.

  • Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve cost efficiencies.

  • Work closely with project managers and design teams to optimise project costs.

  • Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities within project budgets.

  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to budget constraints.

  • Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for all estimating activities.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in estimating within the construction or manufacturing sector, preferably in modular construction.

  • Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Full right to work in the UK.
