We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy department at The London Clinic, based at our main hospital site in London (W1G 6JA). We are offering a competitive salary range (Band 8a NHS equivalent) starting from £60,848 per annum dependant on experience.

Job Profile

The Lead Clinical Pharmacist will lead, provide and develop specialist clinical pharmacy services at The London Clinic. Responsible for managing the clinical pharmacy service to ICU, surgical and medical wards.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.

  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm

  • Job Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW (Close to Regents Park/Baker St tube stations).

  • Salary: Band 8a NHS equivalent

Key Duties

  • Lead and manage clinical pharmacy services.
  • Deputise for the Deputy Chief Pharmacist - Clinical/ Operations as needed.
  • Act as a specialist role model and an expert in medicines management.
  • Support the development of strategic plans for pharmacy clinical services across the Clinic

Skills and experience

  • Evidence of breadth of clinical experience in various specialties
  • A minimum of 5 years post registration experience in a hospital pharmacy at a senior level.
  • Completed comprehensive rotations in hospital Pharmacy covering surgical and medical wards
  • Experience of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Developing and writing policies/procedures/guidelines.
