Are you an ambitious and passionate Biology Teacher ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking an enthusiastic Head of Biology for our client school. You will not only inspire and engage students but also contribute to the development of an innovative and forward-thinking Science department.

The Role

As Head of Biology, you will be responsible for leading the subject across all key stages, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning. You will cultivate curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and foster a love for Science through dynamic and engaging lessons. In addition, you will have the opportunity to mentor early career teachers, contribute to departmental strategy, and play a key role in driving whole-school improvement initiatives.

There is also an exciting opportunity to take on the role of Duke of Edinburgh Award Coordinator, supporting students in their personal development through this prestigious programme.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS or QTLS qualification.

*

Have experience teaching Biology at A-Level (KS5).

*

Have a strong commitment to student achievement and departmental success.

Be eager to lead and develop Science initiatives within the school.

Be enthusiastic about supporting students in extracurricular activities, including the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
