Company: FORD & STANLEY EXECUTIVE SEARCH

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £38000 - £49000/annum

Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a Principal Track Technical Officer for a key player within the Rail industry, based in London.

The Opportunity

Requirement for a Principal Track Technical Officer, to play a crucial part in the safety of passengers by delivering the track inspections of 120km of track, for a London based train operating company, carrying up to 120 million passengers a year across 45 stations in the Nation's capital.

Employing 900 staff across operations, engineering and office work, the business is its own community dedicated to keeping London moving.

As a Principal Track Officer, you will effectively be responsible for the Asset Management of their rail/track network, providing engineering, technical, and planning support to the wider business. You will be joining a small team of track specialists, meaning you will gain exposure to a wide variety of duties, but you will be well supported, working alongside another Principal Engineer and Junior Engineer.

Collaborating with an array of engineers, you will hold the technical expertise to ensure their crucial infrastructure department remains incident free. This is a chance to work within a unique and close-knit community of 800 rail professionals, at an organisation that is vertically integrated with their client. Operating out of the same location, negates a lot of the communication issues that can occur at an organisation of similar scale - if you need something sorting fast, you can literally stroll across to the client's office if required!

Location:

Poplar, London

Essentials

5-10 years' experience within a Track-engineering related role e.g., Technical Officer, Track Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Asset Engineer.
Experience conducting track-based inspections/site surveys, and report writing.
Desirable

Educated to Degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience using planning systems such as Maximo.
Track Design Experience.
Knowledge of track geometry.
Stressing certificates would be beneficial.
Salary:

£38,000-£49,000 per annum.
Free travel for you and a nominated partner/family member, living at the same address, across the TfL network.
A 75% discount on National Rail Season Ticket and interest-free loan
