About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Deputy Manager to join our team in Diss, Norfolk. In this vital role, you will assist in managing the operations of the care home, ensuring that we deliver the highest quality of care to our residents. You will lead and supervise care staff, taking full management responsibility in the absence of the Home Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Home Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the care home.
* Train and supervise care staff, providing direct instruction and setting a positive example.
* Assist in pre-admission assessments of new residents.
* Ensure care plans and daily records are accurate and up to date.
* Foster effective communication with residents, their families, and external organisations.
* Assume full managerial responsibilities when the Home Manager is absent.
Skills and Attributes
* Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager.
* Strong ability to engage with service users to understand and meet their care needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding adult referral pathways.
* Good understanding of CQC standards.
* Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors, and the staff team.
* Competence in promoting ownership of care programs by involving service users and their families in care planning.
