About Us:

Vetro Recruitment are working with a cluster of Primary schools based in Cardiff, to recruit 5 classroom assistants for the new academic year (September 2024). We have requirements for both Full-time and Part-time positions across the primary education sector. These positions are due to start in the new academic year.

Role Overview:

As a Primary School Classroom Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience for our students. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about education and eager to contribute to the development of young minds.

Key Responsibilities of a Classroom Assistant

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily activities and lesson preparations.
• Support individual and group learning activities.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special educational needs.
• Supervise students during breaks, lunch, and other activities.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing materials and managing classroom supplies.
• Foster a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interactions among students

The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Classroom Assistant

• Registration as a School Learning Support Worker with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
• References covering the last two years (no gaps)
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
• The right to work in the UK
